Dr. Monteleone’s enduring dedication to sport and physical activity is reflected in his multifaceted involvement as an athlete, observer, coach, and physician. He possesses extensive expertise in the evaluation and management of sport-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions across a broad spectrum of physical activities and athletic pursuits. Dr. Monteleone provides comprehensive care to athletes of all ages, delivering detailed evaluation and treatment for acute injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions to support ongoing physical activity and overall health. Dr. Monteleone is deeply committed to the care and development of young competitive athletes. He focuses on the creation and supervision of individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans for those recovering from acute sports injuries, aiming to ensure a safe, timely, and sustained return to high-level competition and long-term athletic success. Dr. Monteleone is a clinician-scientist whose work spans the disciplines of Sport and Exercise Medicine, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Orthopedics. His research focuses on the physiological and biomechanical factors influencing performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, contributing to the advancement of interdisciplinary approaches in musculoskeletal health. In addition to his research activities, Dr. Monteleone holds a clinical faculty appointment at the University of British Columbia, where he is actively engaged in the education and mentorship of medical students and residents with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
